  1. If you only want to download select message(s), start in your Google Mail by applying a label, for example, 'messages to download,' to only the message(s) you want to download.

  2. Go to https://takeout.google.com/settings/takeout.

  3. Select Deselect all. Everything's selected by default, meaning you'd download all the data from your Google account.

  2. I'd like to be able to selectively transfer Gmails (not just the attachments) from one account to another. Say, transfer all mails with label ABC from account A to account B. You start with one account, then due to changes in purpose, may want to separate/split that account into two or more.

    • You can do this in Gmail by creating a filter. Click the gear icon (top - right), then settings, then 'Filters'. The filter can look for certain things in all the usual email fields as well as if the message has an attachment.
